Bollywood actor Anupam Kher wrote a cryptic note after BJP’s shocking results in the 2024 assembly elections. Although the BJP-led NDA won the elections, the party lost seats in some important constituencies. It includes Faizabad, the constituency where the famous Ram Mandir is located. After the surprising results, Anupam Kher took to Instagram and wrote a cryptic note about the honest director and his efforts.
‘At times, I contemplate that an honest person should not be excessively honest. In the jungle, the straightest trees are cut down first. An excessively honest person has to bear the most suffering. Yet, they do not abandon their honesty. Therefore, they become an anthem of inspiration for millions.’
His English note is rendered as: ‘Occasionally, I ponder whether an upright individual should avoid excessive honesty. In the jungle, the straightest trees are often cut down first. An honest person must endure the greatest hardships in life. Despite the challenges, they steadfastly hold onto their integrity. Hence, they serve as an inspiration to millions of people.’

Although the party lost the Faizabad seat, the BJP and its ally party, the NDA, secured victory in several seats. This includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi winning in Varanasi and Kangana Ranaut making a strong showing in Mandi.
After the victory, PM Modi addressed the nation and expressed gratitude for their support. He also took the opportunity to react to his party’s victory. ‘People have entrusted NDA with their trust for the third consecutive time! This marks a historic achievement in India’s history.
