Thar Crushes Dozens In Amroha, Video Goes Viral

An out of control Thar has reportedly crushed a dozen people returning from a fair near the Gajraula highway in the Amroha district of UP.

In a recent video that is doing rounds on social media, Mahindra’s Thar can be seen crushing over a dozen while penetrating a crowd. The video was captured at a fair in the Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh. A dozen got injured in the accident and were rushed to the hospital, of which three were found seriously injured and have been referred to the higher centre for medication.

As per the reports, the incident took place on September 8 in Shahbazpur Dor village near the Gajraula highway in the Amroha district. The regional police stated that the son of a contractor named Rakesh was driving Thar on Sunday night when it collided with a cycle of a villager and a brawl erupted. To escape from the ruckus, the contractor’s son rushed his car towards the highway during which he came across dozens of villagers who were reportedly returning from the village fair.

In order to escape from the previous incident, he drove the car and ended up crushing a dozen who were shocked to see this incident and tried running here and there to save their lives.

Police have lodged a complaint against the driver and others who were in the car and a probe has been initiated. Four arrests have been made so far in the incident and the perpetrators are to be produced in the judicial court. The police have stated that the status of law and order is in place in the area.
