J&K Constabulary apprehended a terrorist associate during a joint Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the village of Marsary, Chowkibal, Kralpora on Monday. The operation was launched jointly by 05 Para, 160 Territorial Army, 98 Bn CRPF, Special Operations Group (SOG) Kralpora, and the Police Station in Kralpora.
The constabulary caught an individual identified as Wali Mohd Mir. A huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from his possession. The seized items included one AK-56 rifle, three AK-56 magazines, 1,150 rounds of AK-56 ammunition, and 17 UBGL grenades.
The probe into the matter has revealed that the apprehended individual was working as a terrorist associate for terrorist outfits and was involved in facilitating the movement of arms and ammunition to active terrorists in the region, according to the Kashmir Police.

The capture of the associate comes after an early morning encounter involving three militants. Security forces gunned down three Pakistani terrorists in an encounter near Srinagar today. Two of the militants who were killed had been involved in the Pahalgam attacks.
Suleiman Shah, a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, was identified as the mastermind behind the April 22 terror attack that shook the nation. The operation, named Operation Mahadev, also neutralized two other terrorists: Abu Hamza and Yasir. Yasir is also believed to have been involved in the Pahalgam killings. Security forces from the Army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police participated in today’s joint operation.
