The Telangana Police arrested seven people for allegedly raping a woman in Nagarkurnool district on Tuesday. The shocking incident took place in Urkondapeta village on March 29.
Victim Had Gone To Temple With Her Husband
According to PTI, the woman had gone to the temple with her husband to offer prayers. She stayed in temple premises. She went to ease herself to the washroom.
Accused Tied Her Husband to Tree
The seven men forcibly took the woman to a place which was located near the temple and raped her. When the woman’s husband went to rescue her, they tied him to a tree., the police said.
State Women and Child Welfare Minister Spoke to cops
The police arrested the seven men who were allegedly involved in the crime. The police said a few accused were already booked earlier in a separate case of extortion. The State Women and Child Welfare Minister Spoke to cops and inquired about the progress report of the probe.
The minister’s office released a statement, stating the officials were directed to provide all possible help to the victim’s family. She inquired about the victim’s health condition.

The accused is allegedly involved in two cases across India and one case in Telangana, was arrested under various sections of the IT Act and the Indian Penal Code. He is the account holder and supplier in the fraudulent activities.
