A shocking incident has taken the internet by storm after a 28-year-old man, who died in a road accident, was carried on a pushcart by the Telangana police when an ambulance failed to arrive at the site. The disturbing video of the incident went viral on the internet, showing the body of the man being transported on a pushcart amid the unavailability of an ambulance.
The incident took place on Sunday when Mogulayya, who was on his way to a bus stand on his two-wheeler, was hit by a tipper lorry at Shivaji Chowk. The rider met with an accident on a busy one-way stretch and, according to the official report, died on the spot.
When the police arrived, they called for an ambulance to shift his body to the Kosgi government hospital, located half a kilometer from the accident site, for a post-mortem. However, as per the police, the ambulance failed to arrive. Witnessing the commotion caused by the death and the urgent need to move the body, the police decided to use a pushcart—normally used for selling vegetables.
The act of transporting the dead body on a cart has sparked outrage among locals, who criticized the authorities for their ‘insensitivity’ and lack of proper arrangements.
Narayanpreet, Superintendent of Police, told NDTV that the body was taken to the mortuary on a pushcart to prevent chaos.
