Over media reports of the possibility of party leader Ramchander Rao being appointed as Telangana BJP chief, Singh resigned from the party’s primary membership, citing shock and disappointment. Raja Singh said he will continue serving the people of his constituency, Goshamahal.

Singh posted on X, “The silence of many should not be mistaken for agreement. I speak not just for myself, but for countless karyakartas and voters who stood with us with faith, and who today feel let down. Jai Shri Ram.”

In a letter addressed to G Kishan Reddy, Singh wrote, “The decision has come as a shock and  disappointment, not just to me, but to lakhs of karyakartas, leaders and voters who have stood by the party through every high and low. At a time when BJP stands at the threshold of forming its first government in Telangana, such a choice raises serious doubts about the direction we are heading.”

Raja Singh said,” I always keep telling the party that the BJP can form a government in Telangana. Today, the party workers, booth-level workers, are working for the party. However, when it comes to the declaration of the state BJP president, the party should consider what kind of person should be appointed as the state president. I have been consistently advocating for a discussion within the party, from booth-level to party leaders, on the selection of the state party president. We need a state unit president who is aggressive. The people of Telangana, in particular, like those who talk about Hindutva…I joined the BJP in 2014, but since then, I have faced numerous difficulties within the party, including being targeted personally and having my constituency targeted. For how long can I tolerate this injustice?…Humara bhi dum ghut raha hai party mein…Whether or not I stay in the BJP, I will remain a supporter of Modi ji, Amit Shah ji and Yogi ji….The party workers have been demanding a state party president who talks about Hindutva.”

Singh further said,” This is my personal decision. I cannot continue to tolerate injustice. Some people, by misusing their powers, are ruining the party in the state, and I cannot stand witness to this happening.”
