As the battle for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 heats up, yet another new party is ready to enter the competition. Former RJD leader and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, has officially announced the his new political party named ‘Jan Shakti Janata Dal’. The party’s election symbol is a ‘blackboard’. Tej Pratap shared the party poster along with the symbol on his official X handle.
#tejpratapyadav #janshaktijantadal #biharelection pic.twitter.com/GxsQHw0WqQ---Advertisement---— Tej Pratap Yadav (@TejYadav14) September 25, 2025
The poster of the newly formed party signifies the leader’s dedication and commitment to the complete development of Bihar. According to the poster, the aim of the party is to bring about a complete transformation in Bihar by establishing a new system. The poster also features five iconic leaders: Mahatma Gandhi, B.R. Ambedkar, Ram Manohar Lohia, Jayaprakash Narayan, and Karpoori Thakur.
The announcement of a new party by Tej Pratap Yadav could potentially cause unrest within the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), as the new party is seen as a direct challenge to Tejashwi Yadav, who is the Chief Ministerial face of the INDIA alliance.
Since Tej Pratap may attract votes and also welcome disgruntled MLAs and leaders dissatisfied with ticket distribution, it is possible that his move could hamper the lead that the Rashtriya Janata Dal was aiming for.
