Two tourist buses collided in Tamil Nadu’s Sivaganga district, leaving atleast 7 people dead and 20 injured. The deadly head-on collision occurred in the Tirupattur area, about five kilometers from Pillaiyarpatti.

A police officer at the scene said that, “At least 7 people were killed and more than 20 passengers were injured.” Locals gathered as soon as the buses collided and helped civilians and fellow passengers.

One of the buses was on its way from Tirupur to Karaikudi, while the other was traveling from Karaikudi to Dindigul district.
Pictures of the accident revealed that the driver’s side of one vehicle was completely damaged and destroyed. Videos and snippets from the crash site show bodies lying on the ground. Since many people were injured, they have been taken for first aid and medical care.
The cause behind the accident is still to be ascertained and a probe has been initiated in the matter. As per ANI at least 7 people including a child have been killed and more than 50 people were hospitalized after two passenger busses collided in Tamil Nadu’s Tenkasi district on November 24,2025.
