New Delhi: A five-bench constitutional bench led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud to hear the batch of petitions challenging the removal of Article 370 on July 11.
The hearing in the case has been pending in Supreme Court for over two years. The matter was last heard in March 2020.

Nearly 23 petitions have challenged the government act to abrogate Article 370 and bifurcate Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories.
The Five judge bench comprising CJI DY Chandrachud, Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice BR Gavai and Justice Surya Kant will take up the matter on July 11.
The Government of India, on April 5, 2019, through a bill introduced in both houses of Parliament revoked Articles 370 and 35A that gave special status to erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state. Union government bifurcated the state into two Union Territories named J&K and Ladakh.
