Earlier on Monday, a bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha had given their consent to hear Sisodia’s appeal.

The AAP leader had told the court that his wife was seriously ill and hospitalised. He challenged the two high court orders denying him bail.

Last week, Manish Sisodia went to the apex court again seeking bail in the case filed by CBI and Enforcement Directorate against him.

The probe agencies have accused him of corruption while framing the new liquor excise policy. He has been in Judicial custody since February.
