Haryana: A shocking tragedy struck Ashoka University in Haryana’s Sonipat after two students were reportedly found dead during the nights between Friday and Saturday. According to police, one of the students jumped to death from the 10th floor of the hostel building, while the other student was discovered dead near the campus gate. The bodies were found in separate locations.
Student Jumps To Death From University Hostel Building
The student who jumped off the 10th floor is identified as a 20-year-old boy from Telangana. Sonipat ACP Vipin Kumar informed that the boy was a 2nd-year undergraduate student studying at Ashoka University. Police received the information around 10 pm on Friday and immediately reached the spot.
Another Student Found Dead Near University Gate
In a separate incident which occurred around 2.30 am on Saturday, Police found the body of another 19-year-old second-year undergraduate student near the university gate. He was a resident of Karnataka, reports added. Following the tragedy, an investigation was launched and police found a suicide note at the spot. The bodies have been sent to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem and their families have been informed.
