A SpiceJet flight going from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport) in Delhi to Nashik was forced to return to the national capital on Thursday morning due to a technical glitch.

New Delhi: A SpiceJet flight going from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport) in Delhi to Nashik was forced to return to the national capital on Thursday morning due to a technical glitch.

Actually, during the flight, there was a problem in the auto pilot system, after which the plane was safely landed in Delhi. Aviation regulator DGCA has given information in this regard.

A DGCA official said that SpiceJet’s Boeing 737 flight, which left for Delhi-Nashik this morning, had to return to the city due to a defect in the ‘auto pilot’. He told that Boeing 737 flight has made a safe landing in Delhi.

According to a SpiceJet spokesperson, on 1 September 2022, the SpiceJet B-737 aircraft was scheduled to operate from Delhi to Nashik, during which the aircraft returned to Delhi after the flight crew’s auto pilot system malfunctioned. The aircraft made a normal landing in Delhi and the passengers disembarked normally.

It is noteworthy that earlier on August 29, a SpiceJet flight going from Delhi to Mumbai had a safe landing on the runway with punctured tyres, after a malfunction.

The SpiceJet Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which took off from Delhi to Mumbai on Monday morning, had a tire burst while landing at the airport.

Flight SG-8701 took off from Delhi around 7:30 am and made a landing on the main runway 27 of Mumbai airport at around 9 am.
