On the directives of Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, special camps were held on Monday in all tehsils and sub-tehsils across the State to resolve the pending cases of mutation. Before this, a special camp was also organized on Saturday 6th January, which was very successful.
Revenue minister Bram Shanker Jimpa said that these camps got massive responses from people as more than 50796 pending mutation cases were resolved in these two camps. 31538 cases have been resolved in the first camp while 19258 cases have been resolved in the second camp, said Jimpa adding that he personally visited the camp sites at Balachaur, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, and Patiala on January 15 to inspect the progress. He also interacted with the people to inspect the functioning of camps. Similarly, he visited Hoshiarpur, Phagwara, Phillaur, Ludhiana West, Ludhiana East, and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Tehsils on January 6.
Giving information about the special camps, the minister said people got their pending mutations done on the spot. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann led the Punjab government in making all-out efforts to minimize the hassle of people by providing requisite services in offices. He also urged the people that if they face any issue in getting their work done in the revenue office at any level they should WhatsApp their written complaint on helpline no. 8184900002 while the NRIs could send complaints on the given number 9464100168.
Pertinently, chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is making surprise visits to tehsil offices to inspect the functioning of revenue offices so people should not face any problems. The Minister urged that people should not hesitate to register complaints against any officials, in case of a demanded bribe, so that requisite action could be initiated to maintain transparent administration across the state.
As per reports received on Monday late at night, maximum mutations were done in Ludhiana districts with 3528 numbers in the second camp. Similarly as many as 508 cases of mutations were done in district Amritsar, 353 in Barnala, 623 in Bathinda, 646 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 733 in Fazilka, 386 in Faridkot, 409 in Ferozepur, 1233 in Gurdaspur, 1456 in Hoshiarpur, 996 in Jalandhar, 444 in Kapurthala, 197 in Malerkotla, 636 in Mansa, 433 in Moga, 934 in Patiala, 551 in Pathankot, 856 in Rupnagar, 1227 in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 501 in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, 1458 in Sangrur, 593 in Shri Muktsar Sahib and 557 mutations were done in Tarn Tarn district.
