He highlighted a story from the Ramayana where Shabari, a devoted follower of Rama, would leave her ashram daily with a walking stick to gather berries for the Lord. She would taste each berry and, if it was sweet, add it to her basket, discarding the bitter ones. She aimed to offer only the best berries to Rama, unaware that offerings should not be tasted.

Responding to Kangana’s comments, Sonu wrote in Hindi, ‘I have never justified those who spit in food. Their behavior is unchangeable, and they deserve severe punishment. However, let humanity remain humanity, my friend. Instead of arguing, let’s spend that time helping the needy! By the way, I am a huge fan of the UP government’s work. Every house in UP, Bihar is my family. No matter what state, city, or religion, if you need anything, let me know. The number is the same.’

The video of a vendor spitting in food came in response to Sonu Sood’s comments about the new rule by authorities in Uttar Pradesh and Haridwar, which requires eateries along the Kanwar Yatra route to display their owners’ names. Sonu had suggested that “humanity” should be the only name displayed.
