Jabalpur Train Accident: In Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, two coaches of the Somnath Express derailed early on Saturday at 5:50 AM. The accident occurred about 150 meters from the station. The Indore-Jabalpur express train (No: 22191) derailed while moving at a very slow speed.
No casualties have been reported from the incident.

Harshit Shrivastava, CPRO of West Central Railway, said, "The train was arriving from Indore and derailed as it neared platform number 6 at Jabalpur Railway Station. Two front coaches went off the tracks about 100-150 meters from the end of the platform. The derailment occurred around 5:50 AM, but all passengers are safe."

Somnath Express Accident Happened In Less Than A Month After Sabarmati Express Derailment
The Jabalpur train accident happened less than a month after the Sabarmati Express derailment in Uttar Pradesh. On August 17, also a Saturday, 20 coaches of the Ahmedabad-Varanasi Sabarmati Express went off the tracks near Kanpur railway station. This accident is believed to have been caused by a boulder that was intentionally placed on the tracks.
On July 30, 18 carriages of the Howrah-Mumbai CSMT Mail derailed near Jamshedpur in Jharkhand. The accident resulted in two deaths and 20 injuries.
