Sitarang's storm has claimed the lives of three persons in Bangladesh, while 2.19 lakh people have been relocated to safer locations. Three people were killed when a tree fell on them in Bangladesh's Bhola and Narel districts as a result of the storm Sitarang.
According to Tauhidul Islam, executive officer of the Daulatpur Subdistrict, the storm claimed one life and injured three others. Bibi Khadija has been recognised as the deceased woman (80). She called Daulat Khan Municipality home.
Alam Swarnakar, according to Ano Al Nonan of Charfasan, perished after being struck by a tree. Alam lived in the Ivajpur region.
In the southwest Narel district's Lohagra, a third woman passed away. According to OC Naseeruddin of the Lohgra police station, the incident happened on Monday afternoon at Upazila Parishad Square. The 40-year-old deceased Morjina Begum lived in the Bagarhat Sadar village of Arjanbahar.
