New Delhi: Pakistani sister of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Qamar Moshin Sheikh will be coming down to Delhi soon to cekebrate the festival of Rakshabandhan that is in the end of August. Qamar makes homemade rakhi every year for PM Modi.

Sheikh, a woman of Pakistani origin had moved to Ahmedabad after her marriage. She has been with Prime Minister Modi for more than 30 years. Sheikh could not visit Prime Minister Modi due to the pandemic for the past two years but she kept sending homemade ‘rakhis’ to PM Modi to carry on the tradition.
“I wish him a happy Raksha Bandhan. I pray for him every day for his good health and long life. I believe that all my wishes come true. Earlier, when I prayed for him to be the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he did,” she said.
“Whenever I tied rakhi, I used to express my desire for him to become the Prime Minister. His response was always affirmative, saying that all my wishes would be fulfilled by God. He is doing commendable work for the country,” she added.
Couldn’t Tie Rakhi Since Past 2 Years Due To COVID
Last year as well, Sheikh had sent Rakhi to Prime Minister Modi and wished him success in the 2024 general election. She is hoping to meet PM Modi in person this year to celebrate the festival together.

PM Modi’s sister has planned to give him a book on agriculture as she says that the Prime Minister love reading books. Qamar Sheikh has earlied mentioned that she has been tyig ‘rakhi’ to PM Modi since the days the latter was working for a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker.
