New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday arrived in Delhi to meet the top leadership of the party.

Earlier, after Congress’s landslide victory in Karnataka, the party on Sunday appointed three observers for the appointment of the next CM of the state. The Congress has called a meeting of newly elected party legislators in Bengaluru today to discuss government formation and the next chief minister of the state.
Former Maharashtra CM Sushil Kumar Shinde, former general secretary Deepak Bawariya, and current general secretary Bhanwar Jitendra Singh have been made observers in Karnataka by the AICC. The observers will be present at the Congress Legislature Party meeting today and will submit the report to the party’s high command. According to party sources, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge called up Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi ahead of a key party meeting.
