Srinagar: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a significant operation on Friday, conducting searches at two locations in the Kashmir Valley as part of an ongoing investigation into a recently uncovered white-collar JEN terror module.
The raids are taking place in the Batamaloo area of Srinagar and in Ganderbal district, where authorities are probing the involvement of several individuals, including medical professionals.
According to officials, the operation in Srinagar is focused on the residence of Tufail Ahmad Bhat, who was arrested on November 22 from his home in Diyarwani Batamaloo. Bhat is one of the key suspects linked to the terror module.
A senior police officer confirmed that searches are ongoing in both districts, aimed at gathering further evidence and apprehending additional suspects connected to the case. The SIA is working diligently to dismantle the terror network and ensure the safety and security of the region.
The investigation highlights the challenges faced by law enforcement in combating terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly when it involves individuals from respected professions.
