A man allegedly posted his wife’s private videos and photos on social media after she sought divorce from him. The 21-year-old victim from Gujarat’s Membnagar alleged that her husband had blackmailed and harassed her. She said her husband leaked her private videos and photos on social media. The victim approached the Ghatlodia Police and lodged a complaint against her husband. The Police have registered a case of defamation and criminal intimidation.
As per her complaint, the woman was married to a man a year ago and was living with her in-laws in Vadodara. But, she alleged that she was not treated well at her marital home and returned back to her parental home.
She also further stated that she developed an allergy on her back and chest and it was also one of the reasons she moved to her parental home. But, she was in touch with her husband over the phone. She said once she had shown her body’s upper part to show that her allergy had healed. Now, she suspects that her husband had recorded the call without taking her consent.
When the victim refused to return to the marital home and sought a divorce from him, the accused allegedly posted her videos and photos on social media after getting access to her Instagram account.
After receiving threats from her husband, she filed a complaint with the police.
