The revelation has led to an upheaval, resulting in the suspension of the hostel warden. The incident sheds light on a grave situation, prompting legal actions and investigations.

Discovery at Home:
The young girl, returning home from the hostel, experienced severe stomach pain. Concerned, her family rushed her to the hospital. To their astonishment, medical examinations unveiled that the 9th class student was pregnant. Subsequently, on January 9, she delivered a child, adding a layer of complexity to the situation.
Karnataka – Legal Actions Underway:
The police have initiated a case under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO) to delve into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Investigations are ongoing, focusing on the sequence of events leading to this distressing revelation.
Hostel Warden Suspended: Administrative Response
As a response to the shocking incident, the Tumakuru district administration has taken swift action by suspending the hostel warden. The suspension is a precautionary measure as authorities delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the incident, ensuring a comprehensive inquiry.

The underage girl, characterized as underweight, and her newborn’s condition is reported to be stable. Despite challenges in obtaining consistent statements, efforts are ongoing to ascertain the responsible party through thorough interrogation.

During counseling, the girl implicated a minor boy from her school, her senior, as being involved. However, during official interrogation, the boy denied any wrongdoing.
The investigating officer stated, “We have officially registered a case in connection with the incident; however, no arrests have been made at this point. The complexity arises as the girl and her parents are not forthcoming with information. In the interim, counseling is being provided to them to address the emotional toll of the situation.”
Meanwhile, after the incident came to light, the hostel warden has been suspended.
