New Delhi: Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, filed a caveat in the Delhi High Court on Monday in response to a petition filed by Uddhav Thackeray seeking to overturn the Electoral Commission’s decision to freeze the Shiv Sena’s “bow and arrow” election emblem.
Even though the Thackeray group has not yet corrected errors in its plea, the high court is scheduled to hear the case on Wednesday, October 12.
The Shinde group had formally submitted a list of election emblems to the EC earlier in the day, including “rising sun,” “trident,” and “mace.” On Sunday, the Thackeray-led group sent in their list of logos and party names. The poll body has not yet decided on either.
