Hoax bomb threats disrupt malls before Jaipur threat

This incident follows bomb threats received at major malls in Navi Mumbai and Gurugram the previous day, which were later confirmed to be hoaxes.

On Saturday, authorities evacuated a prominent mall in Navi Mumbai’s Vashi area after receiving a bomb threat, which later proved to be a hoax. The search revealed no suspicious objects.

InOrbit Mall received an email at approximately 11:59 AM stating, ‘Hello there, I planted bombs in the building every person inside the building will be killed’ according to a Vashi police station official.

Authorities promptly evacuated the mall and conducted a thorough search with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, ATS officials, Fire Brigade personnel, and police, supported by a dog squad. The search revealed no bombs or suspicious items.
