New Delhi: The Popular Front of India (PFI) activists raised pro-Pakistan slogans outside the District Collector’s office in Maharashtra’s Pune. The ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans came in response to nation-wide joint raids on PFI’s leaders.
During several protests on Saturday, the Pune Police detained a number of PFI’s outraged cadres who were then arrested on Sunday morning.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out multiple joint raids on office bearers and activists of PFI due to their alleged links with terror groups. The search and seizure operations were also held in Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) also raided 12 locations in the state. It detained 20 PFI leaders in which 2 belonged to Pune itself.
However, several districts of central Kerala faced extreme protests by PFI leaders as the latter resorted to violence and vandalism in the state.
