‘See You In God’s Own Country:’ Shashi Tharoor Invites Coldplay To Perform In Kerala

The recently concluded Coldplay concert in India made history for the memorable moments it gave everyone to cherish. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor also joined in to extend his congratulations to the British band for its successful tour in the country. Tharoor took to X and shared Coldplay’s video, in which the lead singer, Chris Martin, praised Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah. He said that he was touched by the gesture shown by Chris during the Ahmedabad concert. Tharoor wrote, “Touched to see our very own Jasprit Bumrah @Jaspritbumrah93 get a shout-out from Chris Martin. What’s more, I agree!”

Tharoor Calls Coldplay’s Concert Phenomenal

He further called Coldplay’s musical tour in India absolutely phenomenal and expressed his wish for it to be organized in Kerala as well. Tharoor said that Kerala would be perfect as the host with its beauty, unmatched hospitality, and special vibe. He said that he hopes Kerala gets the chance to host these grand-scale shows too. Tharoor wrote, “@Coldplay’s five-day run in India at Mumbai and Ahmedabad has been absolutely phenomenal. Hoping Kerala gets its chance to host these grand-scale shows too! With our beauty, unmatched hospitality, and that special vibe, we’d be the perfect hosts.”

Tharoor Invites Coldplay To Kerala

In his post, he tagged the official handle of Coldplay and asked them if he would see the band in Kerala anytime soon. “See you in God’s Own Country sometime soon, @coldplay? @KeralaTourism,” added the Congress MP.

The iconic band kicked off their Music of the Spheres World Tour in India, starting with Mumbai on January 18. Coldplay’s concert was memorable for yet another moment that sent goosebumps across the stadium. Close to 1.5 lakh people sang the National Anthem, ‘Jana-Gana-Mana,’ at the Coldplay concert, making it an amazing moment. As the stadium echoed with ‘Jana-Gana-Mana,’ spectators stood with the national flag and harmonized with singer Jasleen Royal, who was on stage along with the band.
