New Delhi: A joint team of security forces had foiled an infiltration attempt in Uri area North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. They were also looking for a way to smuggle arms and drugs from across the Line of Control (LoC). The security forces have recovered two AK-74 Rifles, two AK Magazine, 117 rounds, two pistols, two pistol magazines and ten packets of suspected contrabands.
Officials told News24 that a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Rewand Nallah in Kamalkote area of Uri. They proceeded soon after security forces found indications of terrorist infiltration. Officials said that an early warning sign was given, and some shots were also fired in the area.
