On Friday, a Vistara flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Mumbai received a bomb threat, leading to a search conducted following concerns raised by the airline’s staff onboard flight UK 552. Vistara confirmed the incident, stating, ‘Our staff identified a security concern aboard Vistara flight UK 552 operating from Thiruvananthapuram to Mumbai on June 28, 2024.’
Following protocol, the aircraft immediately alerted the relevant authorities upon safely landing at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Authorities then directed the aircraft to an isolation bay, where they disembarked all passengers.

‘We are actively cooperating with security agencies to conduct mandatory security checks. At Vistara, ensuring the safety and security of our customers, crew, and aircraft remains our top priority,’ the statement emphasized.
An official from Sahar police station reported that a crew member discovered a note stating ‘bomb on board’.
After landing, officials informed the passengers about the threat and initiated a search of both passengers and their luggage. However, as of now, nothing suspicious has been found, the official stated.
A few days ago, schools and colleges in Delhi NCR received a bomb threat via email. However, police investigations did not uncover any suspicious items from any of the schools. This threat was received by 178 schools.
