Cold weather continues to wreak havoc across the country, including North India. Dense fog and cold waves have disrupted normal life. Schools have been declared closed in some districts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh due to severe cold. All schools in Lucknow will remain closed till December 27.
Due to the severe cold, pre-primary and nursery classes in all schools in Lucknow will be closed from December 24 to 27. The District Magistrate issued a statement stating that, in light of the cold wave, dense fog, and weather forecast in the Lucknow district, all pre-primary and nursery classes in all schools will remain closed from December 24 to 27.

The Lucknow District Magistrate issued an order stating that from December 24 until further orders, classes from Class 1 to Class 8 will be conducted from 10 am to 3 pm.

All schools up to eighth standard in Patna closed till December 26
As the cold intensifies in Bihar and a cold wave is expected, the Patna district administration on Tuesday issued a precautionary order closing all government and private schools up to Grade 8 until December 26. School hours for higher classes have also been changed.
Classes IX and above will be conducted from 10 am to 3.30 pm.
The District Magistrate’s order states that classes from ninth grade and above will no longer begin early in the morning.
