School Holiday On September 3: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Delhi and the NCR region after witnessing the heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout the 2 days. Earlier also, a yellow alert was in place, and similar weather conditions were reported in Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad. Most of the cities like Gurugram, Ghaziabad, was under water on Monday and Tuesday. Due to this, most of the schools including government and private schools in Delhi NCR region have announced a holiday on September 3 also.
The Delhi government has not announced any holidays in the region, but if the rain continues, schools will be closed urgently.
Punjab government has extended the closure of all schools until September 3 due to the ongoing flood situation in the state. Most of the private schools will go with online classes on Wednesday. Reports suggest that Gurugram schools will also conduct online classes, but no such directive has been issued for September 3.

Schools and colleges will remain closed on September 3 across all districts of Punjab due to heavy rainfall and rising river levels. The shutdown applies to areas including Hoshiarpur, Pathankot, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Fazilka, Amritsar, and Gurdaspur.

Official notice posted on platform X reads, “All the exams of Class 10th and 11th scheduled for September 3, 2025, stand postponed.” Although the exact reason has not been specified in the notice, the exams are said to be postponed due to bad weather and heavy rains.
Schools Closed In Parts Of UP
Schools across Bulandshahr, Baghpat are closed on Wednesday due to rain in Bulandshahr/Baghpat (UP). Schools in Noida and Greater Noida (both government and private) will remain closed today, September 3, due to heavy rains. he District Magistrate has ordered school closure in Noida as well as Greater Noida schools.

Schools in Gautam Buddh Nagar district will remain closed on September 3 for students from nursery to Class 12. The official order covers schools under the Basic Education Department, government-aided institutions, and those affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, and the Madrasa Board. As a result, schools in Noida and Greater Noida will stay shut.
Ghaziabad Schools Closed Today
All schools in Ghaziabad have been closed for students from Nursery to Class 12. Parents and students are advised to keep track of weather updates and follow any instructions issued by local authorities due to the heavy rain.
