Sachin Pilot vs Ashok Gehlot
Tensions between Sachin Pilot and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot have been prevailing for a long time that is now taking crucial turns with Pilot’s marches and rallies.
Earlier on April 11, Pilot observed a day-long fast to press for need to take ‘action on corruption’ carried out during the previous dispensation-led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vasundhara Raje.
The Congress leader refused to call off his protest despite the party leadership stating that “Sachin Pilot’s fast is against party interests and is anti-party activity”.
Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, AICC Incharge, Rajasthan wrote the letter to Pilot late-night saying that he never rasied the issue with the party earlier and invited him for “calm talks”.
“Sachin Pilot’s fast is against party interests. I have been AICC incharge for the last 5 months but he never spoke with me regarding the issue. I appeal for calm dialogue as Sachin Pilot is an indisputable asset,” read the letter issued by the Rajasthan AICC In-charge.
