Married about 19 years ago
The love story of Sachin Pilot and Sara Pilot is quite interesting and filmy. Both of them got married about 19 years ago. However, this journey was not so easy. Sachin Pilot and Sara had to roll a lot of papad for this wedding. Sachin Pilot was studying MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, America. There he met Sara, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah and sister of Omar Abdullah. First both of them became friends. Then with time this friendship started turning into love.
After this, Sachin returned to India after completing the pilot course while Sara remained in America. The distance between the two further strengthened this love. They remained separated from each other for about 3 years and finally they decided to consummate their relationship, but challenges were looming large in front of them.
Abdullah family’s protest in the valley
It is said that initially Abdullah family was against this relationship. Even when Sachin-Sara’s relationship became public, people started campaigns against the Abdullah family in the valley. Many people in the party also became angry with this. After this both of them remained patient for some time. However, when the situation did not change, both of them finally decided to get married in January 2004. Only a few people attended this wedding ceremony. However Abdullah family did not recognize the marriage. Sachin Pilot’s mother was also initially against it. However, his marriage was lucky for Sachin Pilot. After this his real political journey started.
When Sachin Pilot became a youth MP, the resentment ended.
At the age of just 26, he contested his first Lok Sabha election from Dausa. By contesting election from Dausa, he carried on the legacy of his father Rajesh Pilot and became the youngest MP. Later the handsome victory of Sachin Pilot, the Abdullah family finally accepted the marriage.
