Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit India soon. As per Dmitry Peskov, the announcement on the date regarding his visit will be done soon.
Dmitry said that, “I hope soon we’ll work out the precise dates of his visit… Of course, after two visits of Prime Minister Modi to Russia, now we have a visit of President to India, so we’re looking forward to it.”

This will be his first visit to India after Russia launched a war on Ukraine. He marked his last visit on December 6, 2021. During his last visit he marked his attendance to the 21st India-Russia Annual Summit. The summit was held in New Delhi.
PM Modi’s Russia Visit
Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Russia in October 2024. The announcement regarding Putin’s visit to India has come just after PM Modi’s Russia visit in October. PM Narendra Modi travelled there to attends the BRICS Summit in Kazan.
The leaders of BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) met for the first time in Russia in the year 2006. The first BRIC Summit was held in the year 2009 in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
PM Modi Invites Vladimir Putin
PM Narendra Modi held a meeting with Russian President Putin in Kazan. This was the second meeting of both the leaders this year, they had earlier met for 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit in the month of July, 2024. After this PM Modi invited Russian President Putin to make a visit to India next year to attend 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit.
