PM’s Answer

“There was an RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) branch in our village where patriotic songs were played. Some of those songs deeply moved me, and that’s how I became a part of the RSS. One of the core values we were taught in the RSS was that whatever you do, do it with a purpose—do it for the nation’s contribution. For example, if I study, I should study so well that it benefits the country. If I exercise, I should do it in a way that my body also serves the nation. This is what the RSS constantly teaches.

The RSS is a vast organization, now nearing its 100th anniversary. There might not be another voluntary organization of this scale anywhere in the world. Millions of people are associated with it. But understanding the RSS is not that simple. One must make an effort to truly grasp the nature of its work.

More than anything, the RSS provides you with a clear direction—something that can truly be called a purpose in life.”

PM Modi Says Pakistan Must Shun State-Sponsored Terrorism

Prime Minister Modi emphasized that improving India-Pakistan relations would require a shift in mindset and meaningful dialogue. “One must not confuse strong ideological differences with the terrorist mindset and state-sponsored terrorism. Wherever terror strikes in the world, the trail somehow leads to Pakistan. Let’s take the September 11th attacks, for example. The main mastermind behind it, Osama bin Laden, where did he eventually emerge from? He had taken refuge in Pakistan,” PM Modi said.

Godhra: A Tragedy Beyond Imagination

In his second-ever podcast appearance, PM Modi addressed the widespread claim that the 2002 riots were the worst in history, calling it “misinformation.” He explained that before 2002, Gujarat had experienced over 250 riots, with communal violence being a recurring issue in the state. “…But after 2002, in 22 years, there hasn’t been a single major riot in Gujarat. Gujarat remains completely peaceful,” he added.

“At that time, our political opponents were in power at the Centre, and it was natural for them to try and pin all the blame on us,” PM Modi said. “Despite their relentless efforts, the judiciary thoroughly examined the case not just once, but twice. In the end, the truth prevailed, and we were found completely innocent. Those who were truly responsible have faced justice in the courts.”
