Rohini Acharya’s Marriage to Samaresh Singh

Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter, Rohini Acharya, was an MBBS doctor. He married Samaresh Singh in 2002. Rohini’s father-in-law, Rao Ranvijay Singh (IAS/IRS), was a college friend of Lalu Yadav. Reports suggest that the primary reason for the relationship with Rao Ranvijay Singh’s deep friendship with the RJD supremo. Rohini’s father-in-law, Rao Ranvijay Singh, was an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer. He has also worked as an officer in the Income Tax Department.

Rohini’s in-laws are originally from Daunnagar, near Aurangabad. The area is known for its large Yadav population, with many families having members in government service. Rohini’s mother-in-law was also a professor. Rohini made headlines in 2022 by donating a kidney to her father. Recently, she announced her distance from her family and party. She lives in Singapore with her husband.

About Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya

47-year-old Rohini Acharya was born on June 1, 1979, in Patna. She earned her MBBS degree from MGM Medical College, Jamshedpur. Her marriage was arranged in 1999 while she was still pursuing her MBBS. She married Samrat in 2002.

After marriage, Rohini continued her studies. Despite being an MBBS doctor, she never practised medicine. Rohini’s husband, Samaresh Singh, is a mechanical engineer who earned his MBA from Singapore and found a job in the IT sector there. Rohini has since lived in Singapore with her husband, their daughter, and two sons.
