Himachal On Alert For 4 Days
The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy snowfall and rain in the state for the next four days starting March 11 and has advised people to stay safe.
The Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) said that a maximum of 285 roads are blocked in the Lahaul-Spiti district, and 5 districts including Leh Ladakh have been isolated from the rest of the world. Additionally, 97 transformers are stalled in the Pooh division, with 93 in Kalpa and three in the Nichar subdivision.

According to the Shimla Meteorological Center, a Western Disturbance is affecting North-West India, indicating severe weather conditions from the night of March 10 to the night of March 12. Low-lying areas are expected to experience rain for approximately four days.
Efforts Are Being Made To Control The Situation
Media reports indicate that BRO is doing its best to clear roads and deal with the accumulation of black ice. While essential and daily commodities are being transported to Lahaul Spiti and Leh-Ladakh, tourist movements have been halted.
