Highways and Expressways in the country are expanding in terms of numbers. The development of road is also increasing to next level with introduction of new projects. There are many projects which are underway and are going to bring a major change in the country this year.
But the concept of speed is a very important factor which makes the journey smooth and safe for the commuters. The Road Transport ministry has now made the compulsion for the road owning agencies must paint speed limits along with the vehicle logos on the pavement after every 10-Kilometers on the route.
With this initiative from the ministry, this will alert the drivers running their vehicle on the routes to maintain the speed limit.
The ministry has issued guidelines for “Signage on Expressways and National Highways.” This will come into effect in February 2025, as per media reports.
The ministry also made it compulsory for the people to plant a larger signage at regular interval.
