Ratan Tata, the chairman emeritus of one of India’s biggest conglomerates, Tata Sons, died at 86 on Wednesday night. “It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, a truly uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation,” said N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, in a late-night statement.
The mortal remains of Ratan Tata were kept at NCPA for the darshan between 10 am to 3.30 pm today. Political leaders from various parties paid their respects at NCPA and on social media platforms, offering heartfelt condolences and sharing their memories of the esteemed industrialist. PM Modi took to X to share his heartfelt reflections on the industrialist. He wrote, “My mind is filled with countless interactions with Shri Ratan Tata Ji. On the sad demise of the Industrialist Ratan Tata, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami offers his deep condolences to him. He wrote in an X post, “It is very sad to receive the news of the demise of India’s famous industrialist Shri Ratan Tata ji. He dedicated his entire life to the industrial progress and social development of the country.
