In a shocking incident that rocked Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday morning, miscreants targeted the residence of retired IAS officer DN Dubey in broad daylight. Dubey, who has served as District Magistrate in several districts, including Raebareli, and as Divisional Commissioner in Allahabad, resides in Sector-22 of the Indiranagar police station area.
Upon returning from a morning round of golf, Dubey was confronted with a scene of chaos inside his home. Belongings were strewn about, and his wife, Mohini, lay lifeless on the floor, her body soaked in blood. Distraught, Dubey immediately alerted the authorities to the grisly discovery.
Tragically, Mohini had fallen victim to the ruthless invaders who, in their brazen act, had not only looted the residence but had also resorted to violence. It is reported that when Mohini resisted the intrusion, she was fatally strangled. The heinous crime sent shockwaves through the community, prompting swift action from the police.
