Reliance Industries Limited has taken the bold step of using Artificial Intelligence most innovatively and tapping the potentialities of this technology. Addressing the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting in Mumbai on Thursday, he said that the company has built a software stack, integrated end-to-end workflows, and built an AI-native digital infrastructure for all Reliance businesses.
Mukesh Ambani: AI May Transform Human Race
The RIL chairman emphasized that the petroleum to telecom giant will transform itself into a deep tech company. He said that AI can help human beings address several issues and transform it. Ambani said that Reliance Jio has developed itself as a true deep-tech innovator.
Ambani: RIL To Become Tech Firm
The RIL chief said that AI can transform the company into a true tech firm and put it on a high-growth path for the years to come. Elaborating on it, Mukesh Ambani said that by adopting deep tech and innovatively using AI, the RIL can find itself in the top 30 league shortly.
Jio AI-Cloud Welcome
He also announced that the Jio AI-Cloud Welcome offer will be launched during Diwali. Under this scheme, the users will get a “powerful and affordable solution where cloud data storage and data-powered AI services are available to everyone, everywhere.”
Reliance To Launch Jio TVOS
Announcing the launch of Jio TvOS, Kiran Thomas, President of Reliance Jio said that Jio users will get up to 100 GB of free cloud storage to securely store and access all their photos, videos, documents, all other digital content, and data. He said further that the consumers will get these facilities at the most affordable.
Reliance First Solar Giga-Factory
Elaborating on the vision of the multi-billion-dollar conglomerate, Mukesh Ambani also said that the company will commission its first solar giga-factory this year as part of a pivot towards green energy. Explaining the project, he said that the solar giga factory will include the manufacturing of PV modules, cells, wafers and ingots, polysilicon, and glass at a single location.
Isha Ambani: Reliance Retail To Double Business In 3 Years
It has become clear once again that retail will be the focus of the petroleum to telecom giant’s future planning. Speaking at the AGM, Reliance Retail Director Isha Ambani said the retail arm will double its business in the next three years. She said that Reliance Retail recorded a gross revenue of ₹3.06 lakh crore (USD 36.8 billion) in the financial year 2023-24, registering a growth of 17.8% compared to the previous year.
RIL To Issue Bonus
Mukesh Ambani also declared that Reliance Industries Limited will issue a bonus to its shareholders in a 1:1 ratio as of August 29, 2024. He said that the founders of the company believe shareholders deserve this award.
Reliance Industries Limited will also announce a new service, which will integrate AI into every phone call. He also said that the new service will record and store calls in Jio Cloud, and also transcribe them from voice to text. Besides Jio Phone Call AI also summarises the conversation made over calls and translates them into other languages.
