The Central Railway recognised her contribution and congratulated her. It posted a tweet on X,
“Record-breaking single-day performance in ticket checking! Congrats to Rubina Akib Inamadar, (TTI) Travelling Ticket Inspector, Tejaswini 2 Batch, Mumbai Division! Today, she detected a total of 150 irregular/without-ticket cases, generating ₹45,705 in ticket checking revenue, including ₹16,430 from 57 without-ticket cases in First Class! A truly rockstar single-day performance!”
She caught 57 passengers from the first class compartment and collected a fine of Rs 16,430. The Railway carried out such drives regularly. Due to these steps, the number of ticketless passengers has started gradually dropping.
Netizens also reacted to the tweet. People applauded Rubina’s efforts and demanded a cash prize too.
A user wrote on X, “Hope u PPL give a special cash incentive to such performers to motivate her and other staff too. A mere certificate with Railways seal is not enough.”
Another user posted on X, “Great but railway’s should stop ticketless passengers from entering platform itself which would reduce unnecessary crowd.”
