Reach Prayagraj in just 8 hours from Delhi through Ganga expressway

The Ganga Expressway has now been added to India’s long list of infrastructure and highway projects, with the goal of connecting Uttar Pradesh districts with Delhi and other adjacent states. The Ganga Highway will reduce travel time between Delhi and cities such as Meerut, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and others.

The Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh will travel parallel to the Ganga river and connect up to 12 districts in the state, as well as improve communication with neighbouring states like Uttarakhand and Delhi.

594 kilometres long and six lanes

According to reports, the Ganga Expressway will be 594 kilometres long and six lanes wide, with the capacity to grow to eight lanes. The motorway will run from Meerut to Allahabad, drastically reducing travel time between the two cities.

Travel time between Delhi and Allahabad

Also, the travel time between Delhi and Allahabad will be reduced from 13 to 8 hours by road, enhancing connectivity with several UP cities including Varanasi, Hardoi, Hapur, Pratapgarh, and Unnao.

While the first phase of the Ganga Expressway will connect Meerut to Prayagraj, the second phase will extend the highway to Varanasi and Ballia, connecting Delhi to Varanasi and cutting travel time from 14 hours to just 10 hours.
