RBI: The Reserve Bank of India received a bomb threat on its customer care number yesterday, claiming it to be from the ‘CEO of Lashkar-e-Taiba,’ said sources.
The RBI in Mumbai received this bomb threat in its customer care department on Sunday, as reported by the police. In the shocking revelation, the caller, claiming to be the CEO of Lashkar-e-Taiba, threatened to blow up the central bank with a bomb, according to reports.
Taking quick action, the Mumbai Police registered a case and launched an immediate investigation into the matter. Police have ordered tracking the caller’s ID and identifying the person responsible, as reported by ANI.

Lashkar-e-Taiba’ is a banned terror group, known for creating chaos in different regions of India. Indian history has proof of them creating a ruckus in the Kashmir Valley and the 2008 Mumbai attack. These attacks took the lives of many people, and the group is said to be a threat to mankind.

The Information Technology Ministry had said in an advisory “such bomb hoaxes not only affect the citizens but also destabilise the country’s economic security.”
