Ratan Tata, the chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, died on Wednesday in a Mumbai hospital at the age of 86. He had been undergoing treatment for the past few days, owing to age-related issues. Just on Monday, he dismissed speculations about his health and said he was going through routine medical investigations.
Ratan Tata was renowned for his significant influence, managing more than 30 companies operating in more than 100 countries across six continents.
He never came into the billionaire class, though. Tata is known to be one of the humblest among many of his peers. His death marks the end of an era, and his legacy will forever soar high in the hearts of generations to come.
