New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Randeep Surjewala Tuesday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after a Gujarat court fined Vansda MLA Anant Patel Rs 99 in a 2017 case related to tear a photo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a jibe against the saffron party, Surjewala said that every citizen of the nation should be gagged or seek permission from the BJP to speak.
“How has our country become? How are the courts giving decisions? Does it not know about Article 19 (freedom of speech) in the constitution? Now every citizen in the country should be gagged. First go to BJP office, ask for permission to speak and say if you are allowed otherwise keep quiet,” said Surjewala.
https://t.co/qGBenmkfGM— Randeep Singh Surjewala (@rssurjewala) March 28, 2023
