Ramadan 2025: Muslims worldwide are preparing for Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection. While Saudi Arabia and Indonesia are observing Roza from Saturday, March 1; India will begin on Sunday, March 2. Jama Masjid and Lucknow’s Shahi Imam have made the announcement regarding the observance of Ramadan 2025. Moon was sighted on Friday in Saudi Arabia. Ramadan marks the beginning of ninth month of the Islamic calendar and fasting for 29 to 30 day period.
Ramadan will last for 29 to 30 days and conclude on either March 30, or March 31. The date will depend on the sighting of the crescent moon.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Completes Preparation
Meanwhile, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates has completed its readiness for the Holy Month of Ramadan. Security and safety standards have been verified by the Specialised teams. Elevators, fire protection systems, sound systems, and air conditioning systems have been checked.
Authorities have made arrangements to ensure smooth entry and safety for people visiting the mosques.
Gate No. (9) on the south side and Gate No. (3) on the north have been opened to receive worshippers during prayer times.
Gate No. (6) is designated for visitor entry.
Gates (4-7-8) will also be opened for worshippers if overcrowding happens.
Additionally, more than 2,000 parking spaces have been set up to serve mosque guests.
Timings to visit Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Fujairah is: Saturday to Thursday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
