Key figures like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Ratan Tata, Amitabh Bachchan, Arun Govil, and Dipika Chikhlia who play ‘Ram’ and ‘Sita’ repectively in the 1987 popular TV serial ‘Ramayana’, have been invited to the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22.
The Ram Mandir Trust has extended invitations to more than 7,000 individuals, with 3,000 being VIPs. Families of karsevaks who sacrificed their lives during the temple movement will also be included. The guest list encompasses figures such as RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, yoga guru Ramdev, 4,000 seers, as well as individuals from diverse fields like writers, journalists, scientists, and other prominent personalities from across the nation.
Champat Rai, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, mentioned that the plan includes inviting a representative from each of 50 foreign countries. Additionally, families of 50 karsevaks who lost their lives during the movement, judges, scientists, writers, and poets have also received invitations for the event.

Rai Said, “We have also invited saints, priests, Shankaracharyas, former civil servants, retired army officers, lawyers, musicians and Padma awardees,” He added, “Ram Lalla will be seated in the temple in the form of a five-year-old boy. For this, three idols are being made from two stones brought from Karnataka, and one from Rajasthan. The idols are almost ready and are being given final touches. The most beautiful idol will be selected for consecration,”.
VHP spokesperson Sharad Sharma said, “We have also invited journalists who supported the Ram temple movement through their writings and reports. Without them, the struggle for Ram Temple could not have been successful. He further added, “The VVIPs will get entry through barcode passes. “Out of 7,000 invitees, about 4,000 would be religious leaders. The remaining will include prominent personalities from different fields. A link will be shared with the invitees before the ceremony. Once they register themselves, a bar code will be generated which will act as the entry pass,”.
