With Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, and prominent personalities from across India expected to attend, the city has turned into a high-security zone. For the general public, darshan will remain closed on November 25 due to heavy VVIP movement.

Kalash Yatra Marks Beginning of Festivities

Ayodhya witnessed a grand start to the celebrations on November 20, with a spectacular Kalash Yatra featuring 551 urns filled with Saryu water.

  • The procession began at Saryu Ghat.
  • Women participants carried kalash on their heads.
  • The yatra passed through the Ramkot area before reaching the Ram Janmabhoomi premises, symbolically invoking divine blessings.

Dhwajarohan Ceremonies Begin Across Temple Complex from November 21

From November 21, the Janmabhoomi temple complex has begun holding traditional dhwajarohan rituals in multiple shrines on the premises.

  • The trust has appointed different grihastha hosts (householders) for each temple ritual.
  • Key hosts include Dr. Anil Mishra (Trust member) and trustee Radhamohan.
  • All hosts will stay within the temple premises or trust-designated guesthouses until November 25.

November 25: The Grand Dhwajarohan Ceremony – Timing and Ritual Plan

Auspicious Muhurat: 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM

The flag hoisting will occur during the sacred Abhijit Muhurat, the time associated with Lord Ram’s birth. Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra stated that performing Dhwajarohan during Ram’s birth constellation carries immense spiritual significance.

How the Flag Will Be Unfurled

  • PM Modi will press a button at approximately 12 noon.
  • Within 10 seconds, the flag will begin rising up the mast.
  • The ceremony will take place on the 191-feet-high spire, topped with a 42-foot pillar specially installed for the flag.
  • The flag size is 22 ft x 11 ft, saffron in color.
  • It features symbols of:
    • Sun (Surya Vansh)
    • Om
    • Kovidar tree (Ayodhya’s royal tree, associated with Ram)

As the flag begins to wave, the temple premises will resonate with Vedic mantras, along with the ringing of bells and gongs, creating a grand spiritual atmosphere.

Automatic Flag Hoisting and Rotation Mechanism

  • An imported automatic flag-hoisting system has been installed.
  • It allows:
    • Hoisting at the press of a button
    • Lowering from a control room
    • 360-degree rotation based on wind flow
  • This means priests will not need to climb the spire making flag-changing safe and easy.
  • The frequency of changing the flag is yet to be decided.

A 3-Hour Visit: PM Modi’s Movement Plan for November 25

PM Modi will be in Ayodhya for approximately three hours, with a detailed itinerary:

11:00 AM – Arrival in Ayodhya

He will arrive at the Ayodhya airport or helipad at 11 AM.

First Stop: Hanumangarhi

PM Modi will head directly to the Hanumangarhi Temple for darshan and पूजा.

Visit to Ram Temple

After Hanumangarhi, he will proceed to the Ram Mandir.

Darshan, Aarti, and Interaction

  • PM Modi will have darshan of Ramlalla and Ram Darbar.
  • He will perform aarti.
  • He may tour:

The Ram-Sita wedding festival (Vivah Mahotsav) is being celebrated for the first time in the new temple, with nearly 8,000 participants expected.

Ahmedabad Artisans Create Special Parachute-Fabric Flag

The main flag is crafted by artisans from Ahmedabad, using:

The symbols printed on it represent the Surya Vansh, of which Lord Ram is considered a descendant.
