On January 17, the second day of the consecration rituals, Ramlala made a ceremonial entry into the Ram temple. The revered idol was carefully transported from its former abode to the newly consecrated sanctuary. The procession included a Kalash puja performed on the banks of the Saryu river, featuring a Kalash Yatra by nine women. The sanctum sanctorum was then purified with the sacred water of the Saryu river. In the evening, Ramlala was brought to his new dwelling in a palanquin, circumnavigating the entire Ram temple before being adorned on the sanctum sanctorum’s throne. During this procession, Ramlala’s brother accompanied him, and the recitation of Anand Ramayana commenced in the pavilion, marking the continuation of the sacred festivities.
