New Delhi: Speaking over the Rajouri terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, Army chief General Manoj Pande on Thursday hit out at Pakistan accusing the latter of “trageting minorities.”
He said, “Our adversary (Pakistan) has tried to target minorities to cover up their failure in the Kashmir valley. Army and CRPF have increased their presence in these areas. Investigation has been handed over to NIA to find more about it.”

So far over 50 people have been detained on the pretext of interrogation in the terror attack. On January 1, a twin terror attack took place which claimed 7 lives belonging to a minority community of Dangri village of Rajouri district.
Meanwhile, 14 people from the same community were seriously injured. As per media reports, the police have pasted posters on walls announcing a reward of Rs 10 lakh for providing credible information about the terrorists.
“Anti-terrorist operation is going on at a massive scale to neutralise the terrorists involved in the Dangri attack. There are some vital leads and we are working on these to bring the culprits to book,” Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Mohammad Aslam, reported the news agency PTI.
The officer also informed that additional troops of the CRPF along with police have been deployed at the sensitive areas for close vigil.
