Operation against terrorists is going on since Friday in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. The army has cordoned off the entire Kandi area and a search operation is underway. A Lashkar terrorist has been killed in the ongoing encounter. A terrorist has also been injured. During this encounter, 5 army soldiers were killed in a blast from the terrorists on Friday. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is going to reach Rajouri today to pay homage to the martyrs.
Ground Zero
Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi is present at Ground Zero to review the operation. The army has informed him about the entire operation. Havildar Neelam Singh, NK Arvind Kumar, L/NK Rawat, Pt. Pramod Negi and Pt.S. Chhetri who laid down his life for the nation during the Rajouri operation.
Apart from this, an encounter between the army and terrorists is going on in Karhama Kunjar of Baramulla today i.e. from 4 am on Saturday. So far one terrorist has been killed here, and there is information about the hiding of the terrorists.
Baramulla Encounter
Baramulla SSP Amod Ashok Nagpure said that some suspicious activities were reported. After this a cordon and search operation was carried out. Meanwhile, firing was done from the already present terrorists towards us, after which one terrorist was killed in retaliation. He said that in view of the G20 summit, our army is alert and we are neutralizing the threat and the G20 summit will be held successfully.
Tribute to martyrs
Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha paid tributes to five army personnel killed in a blast during an encounter with terrorists in Rajouri district yesterday. Five soldiers were martyred in an encounter in Kandi area of Rajouri yesterday. J&K DGP Dilbag Singh and ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh have reached the encounter site.
